Clipero Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-17
Clipero records a clip from a video on the page you are viewing. It runs entirely in your browser.
- No data collection. Clipero does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data, browsing history, page content or video content.
- No servers, no analytics, no ads. The extension makes no requests to any server run by the developer.
- Video stays local. Frames are encoded in your browser and saved to your device only when you click Save. Nothing is uploaded.
- Stored settings. The only thing saved is your panel theme choice (
chrome.storage.local), on your device.
- Network rules. For a video that the site's server does not allow reading, Clipero temporarily adds a CORS response header to that tab's video requests while a recording runs, so a copy of the video can be recorded. The rule is removed when recording ends or the tab closes. Nothing is read from or sent anywhere else.
